Continual Professional Development

ISOFP wants to assure a high-level standard. To ensure that members represent the best the financial industry has to offer, ISOFP requires all certified members to continually update themselves with the latest industry knowledge and skills.

At ISOFP, annual re-certification, as part of the Continual Professional Development (CPD), is acquired by way of a point system wherein various activities are credited toward certification renewal. This offers continued accreditation and promotes ongoing development and expertise of members. Annual re-certification assures members are kept continually up-to-date in their field and their expertise remain sharp and polished.

Each year, members must acquire at least 20 points to qualify for re-certification in order to keep their ISOFP Certified Member status.

The following activities can be credited towards the required points:

2 points For every 4 hours of attendance at events (webinars, seminar, conference or workshop including in-person or virtual) NOT organized by ISOFP Head Office, ATI or ATP. (proof of receipt or attendance required)
2 points For every 1-2 hours attendance of an event (webinar, seminar, conference, or workshop including in-person or virtual) organized by ISOFP Head Office, ATI or ATP. (proof of attendance and completion required).
5 points Submission of industry-related paper (minimum 2000 words, maximum 5000 words) for publication. Being a thought leader is encouraged in ISOFP.
5 points Participation in a local or international conference or seminar as a speaker/presenter.
10 points Completion of another ISOFP certification course

Membership fees for the 1st 2 years are included in the certificate fee. Members must fulfil CPD requirements in Year 2 to qualify for membership in Year 3 and subsequent CPD cycles. Members are required to keep their own CPD records and corresponding proofs, for submission during renewals.
